My Story…
June is Migraine and Headache Awareness Month?
Everyone has headaches. I’ve had headaches, sometimes two a month!
However, a headache is not a migraine, headache, and even the occasional migraine is not chronic migraine syndrome. The Migraine Trust defines a chronic migraine as having headaches on at least 15 days per month, with eight of these having migraine symptoms, for at least three months.
I have a couple of family members who have had migraines every now and then. Seeing what they go through when they have their migraine is very humbling for those of us who do not suffer from that. I learned from a friend that they had chronic migraine syndrome, and when I decided to find out what it was, I was humbled even more, and my heart was broken.
Do a little research, share this, participate virtually, walk with us at Creve Coeur Lake in Maryland Heights on June 22, and donate if you can. Thank you!
